Things You Might Not Know About the BlackJack (But Definitely Should)
You made a solid call picking up the BlackJack. But even experienced shooters miss a few of its standout features. This isn’t just a PCC. The BlackJack is a platform built to be run hard, customized, and refined over time. Below, we break down the high-performance details and platform upgrades that make it a true outlier.
Your Trigger Wasn’t an Afterthought—It’s a Precision System
Most rifles ship with a trigger you immediately want to replace. Not the BlackJack. Each unit includes a competition-grade single-stage trigger that breaks clean, resets fast, and supports rapid-fire control right out of the box. It’s not an upgrade. It’s the standard.
Suppressor Ready—And Tested With (Almost) Everything
The BlackJack ships direct-thread ready (1/2×28) and is fully optimized for suppressor use. We’ve run it suppressed in full-auto, with a massive lineup including:
- Dead Air Wolfman & Mojave 9
- SilencerCo Omega 9K, Spectre 9
- JK 105 CCX
- Banish 45
- HuxWorx FLOW 9K Ti
- Witt Machine “Naughty Nine”
- ANECHOX 35
- PTR Vent 2 (3D printed)
Zero tuning needed. You just mount and run.
Built-In Gas Seal Kit for Suppressed Performance
Every BlackJack comes with a seal kit installed between the upper and lower, specifically to reduce gas blowback when shooting suppressed. It’s a detail most builders overlook, but for high-round suppressed shooters, it makes a difference.
The Drum Mag It Was Born to Run
Yes, it runs Scorpion-pattern mags. But the BlackJack is a monster with the Magpul PMAG D-50® EV9™ drum. It feeds reliably under speed, and it’s perfect for competitive setups or range time dominance.
Ammo Optimization: What Runs Best
- 124gr FMJ offers the best all-around performance. Clean, consistent, and minimal recoil.
- 147gr subsonics? Run a round-nosed profile, like BadlandsMunitionsCo “FAT BASTARDS” 147GR FMJ for smooth suppressed cycling and reliable back pressure.
AK Grip Compatibility? Yes.
Out of the box, the BlackJack accepts AK-style grips, giving you more flexibility to fine-tune ergonomics and control without proprietary restrictions.
New Internals —Built to Run, Built to Last
We’re proud of what the BlackJack is today, but we’re not afraid to admit where it started.
The original detent-based delay system “worked”, but had issues: more blowback under suppression, more recoil, higher number of failures and design that made bump fire a little too easy. We scrapped it.
The new roller-pin delay system is a completely re-engineered platform:
- Less recoil than before
- Higher reliability
- Cyclic rate: 1,400–1,500 RPM
- Still bump-fire capable (for those wondering)—thanks to that trigger and bolt velocity
- Over 30,000 rounds tested on our demo gun (full-auto + suppressed) with no concerning failures
It’s fast. It’s stable. It’s proven.
The Warranty Is Lifetime. And Transferable.
That’s not marketing fluff. Every BlackJack is backed by a lifetime transferable warranty. Whether you’re the first owner or the third, we’ll stand behind the platform, the build, and the performance.
The PCC World Isn’t Ready
Right now, there are competition shooters already running BlackJacks, dialing them in for precision and speed. And we’re just getting started.
The platform you own today is going to evolve. We’ve got plans to push the entire PCC category forward, with a new generation of tuned components, match-grade accessories, and a support ecosystem that rewards serious shooters.
If you’re holding a BlackJack now, you’re early.
Final Thoughts:
The more you shoot the BlackJack, the more it reveals. It was designed to be more than another PCC. It was built to dominate.
Whether you’re upgrading, suppressing, or competing, the foundation is already in your hands.
Go run it. Push it. See what it can do.
If you haven’t purchased a BlackJack yet. Maybe you should.
